Ribblesdale Stakes Betting Odds - Royal Ascot 2023

The Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes takes place on the third day of the Royal Ascot meeting and is run over a distance of a mile and four furlongs. Open to fillies only, the Ribblesdale has been won by horses ridden by Frankie Dettori on six occasions to date and the Italian will be looking to make it a magnificent seven on Thursday. But will he be successful? Read on for the latest betting tips, analysis and live betting odds comparison as we give our opinions on the matter.

Dettori has been given the ride on the William Haggas-trained Wonderstruck for this one, an Irish filly who has raced only twice before. She won last time out at Newmarket over this distance and impressed when doing so, but managed only third place on this course in early May, though she did put in a decent enough showing. Priced at best betting odds of 10/1 with Paddy Power, she certainly offers some value, but we are a little wary given her lack of race experience.

Inchila – who is priced at shorter odds of 7/2 with Bet365 – might be a better option we feel. She ran in fourth in the Oaks at Epsom in early June, a very fine run considering her starting price was 40/1. With a solid win at Newbury back in April and what looks like a bright future, we think this is the filly to back here, despite the odds not giving too much in return.

If you prefer to go longer, you could do worse than to back Irish filly Final Score at nice odds of 16/1 with Paddy Power. The bookie is one of a couple to pay out a quarter of the odds for a top three finish and given Final Score has won three out of three races to date we think a place here is well within her capabilities.
